I've Been Havin' Trouble Wit Ma Heart

BioA lot has changed since the last time I got on this damn website and tried to begin again. My name has remained constant thankfully, though my friends have changed journals, added journals, left Live Journal, etc.
I'm 20 going on 21 years old, republican, and christian. Let's see if there's anything else I can say that'll get people to write me some hate-laced replies. Oh! I think hurricane Katrina was the hand of God itself moving onto U.S. soil. A warning to us all that God can and will destroy an evil empire. While there are good people struggling in the U.S. to survive, there are equally enough bad people to ruin it for everyone. God's just trying to tell us to watch what we do.
People see Katrina as a disaster, and in some respects it is, and in others, it is a blessing. There are a handful of people who are grateful for the chance to start over. Grateful for the chance to find a new job and maybe raise their families in a place that isn't racked with crime and corruption. Yes, there are other places in America just as heinous as New Orleans, and I'm certain they'll get theirs soon enough.
I'm deeply disheartened by the amount of political tension between republicans and democrats, like there's a war going on between the parties. While I disagree with a GREAT deal of what democrats stand for, I don't hate them. A lot of the really far left-wingers I can't stand and wouldn't want to be around, but only under certain circumstances would I want to mortally wound them.
This country's falling apart, and it's not Bush's fault. If the people could come together, this nation would kick the ass it did not so many years ago. We could pull our economy out of the shithole it's in and rebuild our cities and protect them ten times as fast if we could just reunite the people. We're brothers and sisters in America, and while we should fight occasionally, we should always come back together and be family again.
Also... I love my girlfriend Danielle to death... and she's a Democrat. Although I sometimes like to call her a confused Republican just to tease her. ^_^
